Madrid, Spain

Dennis and I arrived home safe and sound finally late last night after spending 14 hours on the same plane due to horrible weather in Dallas. We circled Dallas for 45 minutes then it was decided to head to Houston. We spent an hour there on the runway and finally headed back to Dallas. We had an incredible trip in Spain. It far exceeded our expectations. I decided to break up my posts for which city we were in...because there was so much to see and do!!
First stop:
Madrid

Must see if you have 2-3 days:

Day One: Plaza Mayor
                Puerta del Sol
                Royal Palace
Bull fight-(not for everyone, but definitely an experience for those that want)

Day Two: Prado Museum (took us several hours)
                Thyssen Museum
                Reina Sofia museum
Retiro Park (take a blanket and a siesta)-you will need it after all the walking

Day Three: If you have a 3rd day it is a great day to see any of the museums you missed or walk around the sites you missed. Major thing to remember, certain places are closed on Sundays and Mondays so always check your schedule and make sure things are open!
